About Us
To help America keep pace with drastic changes in the global technology economy, Avetec (the Advanced Virtual Engine Test Cell, Inc.) is working to advance research within a world-class modeling and simulation capability and initiating educational partnerships to prepare a skilled future workforce.
Right now, Avetec and its partners are conducting modeling and simulation research that aims to reduce the cost and time it takes to design, develop and test new jet turbine engines for commerce and the military.
The result: less time and money spent to put a product on the market.
Avetec leads a number of science and educational outreach initiatives, including the following:
MODELING AND SIMULATION RESEARCH
Avetec works closely with its partners to enhance and develop advanced modeling and simulation techniques to gain a deeper understanding of the physics within engine systems.
DATA INTENSIVE COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT (DICE)
Since industry research involves volumes of geographically dispersed data, this program uses a test-bed of real-world networks to develop an infrastructure to enable the aviation industry to more easily and securely manage data for drastic cost savings.
Initiatives In order to prepare a qualified and ready force of scientists and engineers to continue American leadership in the aviation industry, Avetec is involved in several educational outreach endeavors to stimulate interest and achievement among students in science and technology.
In addition, Avetec is a strategic partner in the National Aerospace Leadership Initiative, which strives to maintain American leadership in the aerospace industry.
