The DICE Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) is an advisory board to Avetec for technology direction and evaluation in the DICE program. The TAP is chartered to review and advise the DICE program on methodologies, approaches and technology trends. They also assist primarily in the identification of community-wide HPC needs where the DICE program would enhance understanding. The panel operates under delegated authority from Avetec specifically for the purpose of providing technical input for projects and the baseline infrastructure that comprises DICE. This panel will also review test plans and reported findings as requested by Avetec.
The TAP is composed of a chairperson and representatives from government agencies, industry and academic institutions. The TAP members include representatives from each site hosting a DICE distributed node. Additional members are senior technical representatives of HPC data centers (federal, state, industry and academia), technology researchers, HPC end users, and/or members of HPC or storage technology leadership forums.
The TAP decisions represent a consensus and embody an accord of what advances the DICE program forward for the greater good of all the collaborators.
