The AFA invites all teachers to take place in various hands-on workshops. The teachers will be participating in educational lessons that will impact their students and enhance their literacy and learning skills in subjects such as mathematics, science, and English. It will take place at the Hope Hotel & Conference Center at WPAFB.

This program awards middle and high school math teachers with Math Hero Awards. Raytheon, a defense and aerospace systems supplier, has launched the Math Moves U Grants and Scholarships Program, a new initiative designed to encourage participation and enthusiasm in math doing and teaching. The program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a department of Scholarship America. As part of this effort, Math Move U seeks to reward real-life "Math Heroes" for their dedication to improving math education and their inspiration of participation in math. Teachers may be nominated by students, parents, other teachers, principals or school volunteers for awards and matching grants to their schools or other non-profit organizations dedicated to the improvement of math achievement.

OSGC offers mini-grants up to $1500 to support innovative projects and programs from any discipline. The grants are available to any Ohio K-12 teacher who demonstrates an interest in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and space. Brochures describing the grants and applications can be found by clicking the link below or by contacting the Space Grant main office. Proposals may be submitted at any time.
