SPRINGFIELD, OH – Two new interns, Christi Adamson and Isaac Lay, joined Avetec’s education department in January along with returning intern, Catie Stipe. With the aim of equipping the students with professional experience, the interns have been exposed to an array of learning opportunities.
Christi Adamson is a senior at Wright State University and studies mass communication. Her internship involves updating content for the Avetec, DICE and Teach STEM websites and writing and editing press releases. After she graduates she plans to pursue a career in journalism and public relations.
Isaac Lay completed a three-week internship at Avetec. His time at Avetec was spent researching virtual reality security. Isaac is a junior at the Dayton Regional STEM School and would like to attend the Ohio State University to study computer science after high school.
Catie Stipe has worked with Avetec since August 2011. She is a senior at Wittenberg University studying English and journalism. While at Avetec, Catie researches, writes, proofreads and applies for grants. She has also had the opportunity to write and edit press releases. After graduation Catie would like to work with a non-profit organization.
