Martin Selected to Leadership Clark County
Avetec Director of Business Operations Begins Year-Long Academy

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (September 12, 2007) - Avetec Director of Business Operations Amanda Martin was recently selected to participate in the 2008 class of Leadership Clark County, an organization that provides educational services to present and future community leaders to develop their leadership skills and to contribute their talents and energies to community service.
“I have lived in Clark County all my life and I hope to contribute to this community in a positive way,” said Martin. “Participating in Leadership Clark County will help me to learn the skills I need to make a positive influence.”
To address the evolving needs of a growing community, Leadership Clark County provides various learning programs including the Leadership Academy, quarterly speaker luncheon series and alumni networking events.
Through these programs, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Discover Springfield's historical significance
- Learn about and participate in local collaborative efforts
- Cultivate the appropriate skills necessary for serving on a board
- Explore various fundraising techniques
- Network with key community leaders and business professionals from both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors
Leadership Clark County develops and encourages individuals from diverse backgrounds to assume leadership roles and contribute their talents and energies to community service.
“Amanda is one of our stars here at Avetec. She has been with the company since its inception almost three years ago,” said Avetec Chief Operating Officer Homer Smith. “She is making a positive impact on our business and will serve the community well as she continues broadening her leadership skills at the academy.”
